Whenever he opens a project and tries to print he receives "There is not enough memory to complete this operation" error. This error only shows when he selects his default printer - when he chooses any other printer, it shows print preview and prints with no issues. There is another staff member with the exact same setup and has the same default printer. He's tried printing the same document and he has no issues, so it appears it's related this employee.
This sounds like a bug that was present in Microsoft Project years ago. The bug was fixed in a cumulative update. Ask the user to update his copy of Microsoft Project with the latest cumulative updates and then please let us know if this resolves the problem. Was this reply helpful?

Pardon my bumping in but actually that's not the latest update. You are updated through November Project is not longer being actively updated but the latest and last update for Project is November I'd run Windows Update.
That will pick up the latest Public Updates for Project Then if you still have a memory issue, let us know. Thanks for your reply John, I'll take a look at this on Monday morning and see if there's any pending. I've installed Project and the same error still appears. Starting to think it could be the printer itself now. I don't understand why Windows Update did not pick up anything for Project I guess it's possible Microsoft removed updates for Project from the current monthly update sequence since Project is no longer actively supported, but that just doesn't make sense.
I'm going to check with a contact at Microsoft and I'll update this thread if I get a response. You might want to check the printer driver update for that particular printer on that particular user's PC. You say everything works fine with that printer on another user's machine, so that kind of points to the printer driver.
I got a quick reply from my Microsoft contact. It's still not clear if Windows Update still provides the last update for Project but if you go to the following link, you can get the last update. Let me know. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community.
