If you have LPX Use this if available. Otherwise you need to create a Symbolic Link to the external drive location. Indeed if you already have the content downloaded, I would just create the SL and be good to go. Please note that wherever you install the libraries the device must be mounted before launching LPX or the app will want to re-download the sounds.

I have my whole sound library downloaded to an external hard drive, but currently Logic is refusing to accept that as a source for the sounds and is only using a few random downloaded sounds stored somewhere in mac OS.
I cant find those sounds in MacOS to delete them, and theres no way to tell Logic to use a different source the hard-drive so i'm completely stuck.

My quibbles with the article are the Link to MacUpdate for scripts. Eric leaves out a couple of things for new users of Terminal in not mentioning that when you enter your administrator password in Terminal, the screen does not show entry so just type your password and then hit enter.
